The free drop-in event is designed to support young people across Wolverhampton who are looking to take their next steps towards employment, training, volunteering, apprenticeships, further education and long-term careers.
It is open to school leavers, college students, graduates, young jobseekers, young people seeking work experience opportunities, people interested in volunteering and anyone aged 16+ looking to start or progress their career journey.
Employers and training providers such as Fusion Fit Out, McDonald’s, NIS, West Midlands Police, MPCT, The Army Recruitment, Adult Education Wolverhampton, Utility Warehouse, Workpays, Connexions, Open Door and Good Shepherd, will be on hand with advice, guidance and opportunities.
Councillor Paula Brookfield, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for Jobs, Skills and Opportunities, said: “Securing a brighter future for young people by getting them into good jobs and training is one of the key priorities for the city.
“Over the last year Wolves at Work has helped hundreds of jobseekers into work and placements.
“But we could not do it without collaboration with partners and employers – and this drop-in event offers young people in Wolverhampton the chance to connect with real life opportunities.”
