On Sunday 6th October Newhampton Arts Centre will be joining hundreds of Fun Palaces nationally and internationally set to explode with free and fun activities for all, welcoming you and your family for a FREE day of local fun.

NAC will open its doors to celebrate the unique skills and passions of the people of Wolverhampton, holding many workshops, events and activities run by, for and with the local community. 2019 marks the fifth year Newhampton Arts Centre has turned into a Fun Palace, with last year being our biggest line up to date.

NAC’s Fun Palace hosts a number of events that bring together arts, science, craft, tech, digital, heritage and sports activities – but above all PEOPLE – to work together, create together, have FUN together, and in doing so, build our own communities, from the grassroots up. The response to individuals and groups within the community wanting to share their skills and passions has been overwhelming.
Gatis Community Space, Central Youth Theatre, Explore Learning, Did Somebody Say Retro? Women of Wolverhampton, Organised Mess, The STEM Response Team and The History People who have brought something to the programme. Expect to see everything from retro gaming to Laurel and Hardy, including animation workshops, science, magic, maths, pop-up photography, local family history and heritage, flower mask making, theatre performances and family crafts plus much more!

The fun will kick off at 12pm on Sunday 6th October, finishing at 5pm making the perfect full, fun and FREE day out all for everyone from toddlers to 100+.
