Congratulations to Wolverhampton businesswoman Jessica Grosvenor, who is currently celebrating making it into an elite list of young entrepreneurs which could leave her £10,000 better off.

Jessica, who heads up her own Wolverhampton business, Freelance Training and Consultancy, was named in the Hot 40 list, of the Shell LIveWIRE Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2010, having been chosen from hundreds of aspiring young business people across the UK.

The 25-year-old is now in the final 40 shortlisted for the prestigious award, which brings a prize of £10,000, as well as the accolode of being named top young business person.

Judges include the hugely successful Duncan Bannatyne OBE, of Dragon's Den fame, who obviously knows a thing or two about making it in the world in business.

Jessica is thrilled to be amongst the finalists for the award, having set up her own company just this year, working alongside her mum, and prides herself on taking a different approach to business.

"I decided to aim for a different approach with the training company - I wanted to provide an accessible approach to education at all levels," she said. "I encourage feedback and input from others, and work hard to find the best solution for each individual, as I feel a person is more likely to succeed if they feel involved in the process."

After leaving Hydesville Tower school in Walsall, Jessica then went on to study Business and Faculty of Law at Staffordshire Business School, before starting a business and management degree at Wolverhampton University.

Everyone at thebestof wolverhampton wishes Jessica every success at the award ceremony in London on October 13 - watch this space to find out how she gets on, and we look forward to following her progress in the future.
