Wolverhampton entrepreneur Dr Clare Roberts-Molloy has been named a finalist in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category at The UK Small Business Awards 2026.
The national recognition celebrates Clare’s work as a public speaking and mindset coach, helping female founders, business owners and professionals find their voices, communicate with confidence and build greater authority within their industries.
Having once experienced a fear of public speaking herself, Clare now uses that personal journey to support other women who may be holding themselves back from speaking opportunities, leadership roles and greater visibility.
Through individual coaching, group programmes, speaker retreats and live events, Clare helps clients address both the practical and emotional aspects of public speaking. Her approach combines support with structuring and delivering a compelling talk alongside work on confidence, self-belief and managing nerves.
Clare has spent more than 15 years creating spaces, stages and opportunities for women to be heard. She has coached more than 150 people onto stages and creates and curates at least three speaking platforms and events each year.
Her contribution to Wolverhampton’s business and community landscape extends well beyond coaching. Clare founded the Wolverhampton International Women’s Day Conference and the SHE Network, which provides networking, personal development and collaboration opportunities for female entrepreneurs and professionals across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.
She is also the Founder and Curator of TEDxWolverhampton, through which she has coached more than 100 TEDx speakers, and the Founder and CEO of charity Periods Matter. Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Clare is an MBA-qualified business leader and serves as a magistrate.
Clare said: “Being named a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year feels incredibly special. My business has been built around a simple belief: women have valuable ideas, experiences and stories, and those voices deserve to be heard.
This recognition is not only about my own journey. It reflects every woman who has chosen to speak despite her nerves, take up space before she felt completely ready and recognise the value of what she has to say.
I am particularly proud to represent Wolverhampton and the Black Country. We have an extraordinary community of ambitious, resilient and generous women who are building businesses, leading organisations and creating positive change.”
Clare is also writing her first book, When Your Voice Shakes: A Practical Guide to Managing Nerves and Speaking with Confidence, which is due to be published in autumn 2026.
The winners of The UK Small Business Awards will be announced at a ceremony at Birmingham’s Eastside Rooms on 19 December 2026.
