Wolverhampton Art Gallery is proud to announce that its dedicated team of volunteers has been Highly Commended in the Team of the Year category at the prestigious Wolverhampton BID Excellence Awards 2025.
The recognition celebrates the Gallery’s outstanding commitment to community engagement, visitor experience, and volunteer support.
With 45 volunteers contributing over 292 hours of their time every week, the team has created a welcoming and safe space for all, including support for vulnerable individuals seeking connection and comfort.
Judges’ Comments included:
“The fact that 45 volunteers are collectively contributing 292 hours of their free time says it all; they work together to ensure visitors have an excellent experience and to support each other.”
“They are a credit to volunteering and should be recognised with Highly Commended.”
“This commendation is a testament to the team’s passion, collaboration, and unwavering dedication to making art and culture accessible to everyone in Wolverhampton.”
