From Sunday 17 May, departure times and frequencies on some routes will change as part of a national twice-yearly timetable update.
WMR will be introducing additional early morning services on some routes, including on the popular Cross City Line and between Wolverhampton and Rugeley.
As part of the timetable change, WMR’s sister brand London Northwestern Railway (LNR) is introducing 42,000 extra seats every week on services to and from London Euston as the company completes the rollout of its new longer electric trains, boosting capacity by 20%.
Celebrating the increase in capacity, LNR is offering customers half-price advance tickets to London from Sunday.
A new direct service between Walsall and London Euston will also become available. The LNR service will depart from Walsall every weekday at 05:46. The 18:26 service from Euston will also now end at Walsall.
Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director at WMR, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to add new services from this timetable change, giving customers more options for when they travel.
All our new timetables are now in journey planners, and while most of our changes are relatively minor, I’d encourage passengers to check their travel times in case they are different to what they’re used to."
