The hospice relies heavily on support from the local community to fund its services. Income generated through initiatives such as the Summer Raffle plays an important role in ensuring patients and their loved ones can access vital care when they need it most.
Relative, Kelsie Rochelle, who’s dad, Andrew was cared for at St Giles at the end of his life, said: “St Giles didn’t just care for my dad – they cared for our whole family. From pain management and medical care to the kindness and reassurance, they were there for us every step of the way.
“Hospices like St Giles are so important. Every penny raised really does make a difference – and it helps ensure they can continue their vital work for more families like mine in the future.”
Helen Curran, Individual Giving Manager, said: “Playing our Summer Raffle is an easy way to support St Giles while also having a bit of fun, with the chance to win some fabulous cash prizes.
“Each ticket sold will help us to continue to be there for local people like Kelsie and her family when they need it most. The money raised through our raffles makes such a difference to the care we can provide.
“Our raffle tickets are now on sale and we’d like to say a heartfelt thank you and good luck to everybody who takes part.”
