There is still time for parent carers, young people, and professionals to share their views on Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) services in Wolverhampton.Feedback will play a vital role in evaluating the effectiveness of current services and support, understanding how well the Wolverhampton SEND Local Area Partnership is meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND, and their families, and shaping future improvement plans to make services more inclusive, responsive, and impactful.
The survey is structured around the 13 key areas of the national SEND and Inclusion Inspection Framework, which assesses how effectively education, health, and social care services work together to support children and young people.
The survey is available at Wolverhampton SEND Local Area Partnership until next Saturday 27 September, and all responses will be treated confidentially.
Councillor Jacqui Coogan, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, said: "The Wolverhampton SEND Local Area Partnership is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people with SEND, including those in alternative provision, and to do this we need to listen to the voices of our families, young people and professionals.
"Your feedback is essential in helping us understand what’s working well, and where we can improve further. I would strongly encourage everyone with experience of SEND services in Wolverhampton to take part in this survey so that, together, we can build a more inclusive and supportive future for our children and young people.”
