Thousands of people flocked to the revamped market off Market Way (WV14 0DR)when it opened for trading last week - and this weekend’s celebration event is not to be missed.
Special guest on the day will be celebrity chef, Glynn Purnell, who will deliver cooking demonstrations at the event being hosted by Dicky Dodd.
TV baker ‘Molly Makes Cakes’ will also be showing off her baking skills.
There will be an array of family-friendly activities to enjoy, including K-Pop performances, circus show & demonstration, dragon walkabout character, craft workshops, Caribbean dance performances, sandpits, colouring area, face painters, balloon modelling, singers, mini food festival and free market goodybags (while stocks last).
Councillor Stephen Simkins, City of Wolverhampton Council Leader, said: “The outdoor market is back at its home, next to the indoor traders, as the beating heart of Bilston.
“The new-look market has been bustling and trade booming in the first week – and we saw more than 10,000 people attend Bilston carnival last weekend.
“The market celebration promises to be another joyful occasion in the town and I would urge people from far and wide to come and enjoy this fantastic free event.”
The market includes a new taxi drop-off area and is located next to Bilston bus station and West Midlands Metro stop.
Bilston Market’s normal opening times are Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, between 8am and 4pm each day.
