Julia Farrell - or Jools - as people more fondly refer to her as,  lives in  Bilston. She was raised in Tipton and from a very young age enjoyed photography. 

 
  She specifically enjoys taking photos of a calming nature and as a Wolverhampton Parks Volunteer photographer can be seen most days in Hickman Park Bilston capturing images of nature. Over the last few years she has become a local community events photographer in Bilston and Wolverhampton and her work can often be seen featured in Bilston Magazine.  

     You can also see her work proudly didplayed in her local bar The Cafe Metro Backroom Bar . In Bilston. She is also events photographer for Susan Vickers WCRFM Live Day music events. Jools will be displaying a variety of photographs in this her first exhibition. Jools is also Chair of Wolverhampton City Fairtrade Partnership an elected Member Engagement Commitee member for Midcounties Co-opertative and a Dementia Ambassador having been  part of a successful pilot of deliveries of Dementia Friends sessions  alongside fellow Amabassador Karen Perry to primary school children across  Wolverhampton schools. 

   Freda and Berties Photography is named in honour of Jools' late Mum and Dad who never lived to see her accomplishments.

  Jools also is known to put pen to paper and wrote poetry  herself and during covid put a booklet together to raise funds for Wolverhampton Samaritans , a charity close to her heart as someone who has had mental health battles during her lifetime.
