July marks South Asian Heritage Month, and the celebrations come to Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre with a vibrant programme of performances and cultural activities on offer, celebrating the rich heritage, creativity and contributions of South Asian communities.
Join Priyanka Joshi on Saturday 18th July for an afternoon of multi-sensory, family friendly creative escape. Wolverhampton poet and spoken word artist Priyanka creates works that are bold, tender and impossible to ignore, writing at the intersection of motherhood, mental health and her South Asian heritage.
She will assist participants in exploring the many wonderful sights, smells and sounds that reflect Unity in Diversity across South Asia. Take part in writing exercises, read some poetry, collaborate and create a community poem and have the chance to share your creativity on the open mic! This event is free to attend, no booking required, 12-3pm Saturday 18th July at The Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton.
