First Class Performance for The Grand Theatre’s Singin’ In The Rain!

Last night I went to see the much loved and well known musical – Singin’ in the Rain at Wolverhampton’s Grand Theatre. What a fantastic way to start Autumn with ‘real rain’ splashing down on the stage. The tip tap tapping of dancing and singing made the show a really fun filled fabulous performance.

Singin’ In The Rain features some of the best loved comedy routines, dance numbers, and songs ever written, including ‘Good Morning’, ‘Make ‘em Laugh’, ‘Moses Supposes’, ‘You Were Meant For Me’ and the most famous song and dance number of all time, ‘Singin’ In The Rain’.  You can’t help but sing along and tap your feet to the sound of the music until the applause erupts and the next scene begins.

With rain, umbrella’s and wellington boots in the finale of the show there’s no better way to lift your spirits and keep smiling! Tim Flavin who is playing lead role Don Lockwood put on a West End performance and really did sing in the rain in the most wonderful way.  The love story between Don and Kathy, played beautifully by Jessica Punch, evolves and blossoms though scenes of laughter and pure comedy, romantic serenades and dance routines choreographed to crisp perfection.

I also have to mention the fantastic stage presence of Cosmo Brown, delightfully played by Graeme Henderson. Hilariously funny and very endearing often being the middle man and of course best friend of Don. First class performances all round!!

This is a must see performance to kick start your Autumn, call the Grand theatre now on : 01902 42 92 12. You’ve got 6 performances left to see starting tonight at 7.30pm, Book your tickets now!!!
