Four Ashes-based signage specialist Signs Now has recorded its best ever month of sales in August 2026, with turnover up 50 percent on the company's previous records.

The milestone has prompted the business to expand its network of trusted installation and manufacturing partners, with the company anticipating the momentum to continue into the autumn and beyond.

The record-breaking month comes despite widespread economic uncertainty, with Signs Now supporting a record number of businesses across the West Midlands and further afield as they open new premises, expand existing operations or refresh their branding.

To meet the growing demand from key customers such as Lyreco, Hilton Hotels, Culina and Holland & Barrett, Signs Now has broadened its network of specialist partners across the UK, enabling them to collaborate with trusted businesses on larger and more complex projects, take on work from a nationwide customer base and keep overheads under control.

Bill Dunphy, Managing Director at Signs Now, said: "There’s quite a lot of negative talk about the economy at the moment and it's easy to get swept up in the doom and gloom. However, what I'm seeing in reality tells a more positive story, and one that I hope will gain momentum across many other sectors into 2027.

"Signmaking, by its very nature, is an optimistic industry. People need signs when they open new premises or expand their operations, and this year we've supported a record number of businesses with new store and office openings across the West Midlands and beyond.

Mr Dunphy also credits the company's longevity to its ability to adapt. Having weathered the global financial crash, the pandemic and a shifting regulatory landscape over the years, he explains that adaptability is central to long term survival in every sector.
