RCF Bolt & Nut Ltd is pleased to announce that it has secured a £10,000 grant from Walsall Business Support to support its recent investment in advanced CNC technology.
The funding, awarded in October, contributed towards the purchase of a new Doosan Lynx 2100LB CNC lathe. This investment forms part of the company’s ongoing programme of machine shop development and capacity expansion at its shared site with sister company Union Fasteners.
The addition of the new CNC lathe strengthens RCF’s in-house machining capabilities. It delivers improved consistency, tighter tolerances, and increased flexibility across a wide range of materials. As a result, the business can machine a broader range of components internally while maintaining the high standards expected by customers across construction, manufacturing, rail, and other industrial sectors.
The grant highlights the importance of supporting advanced manufacturing within the region. Investment from Walsall Business Support reflects confidence in local engineering businesses that continue to invest in modern equipment, skills, and long-term growth.
Adrian Garrett, Managing Director, commented: “This funding has helped us accelerate our investment in advanced machining technology that strengthens our in-house capabilities. The new CNC lathe has already improved efficiency and flexibility, allowing us to meet demanding specifications while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.”
RCF Bolt & Nut remains committed to reinvesting in technology and developing its production facilities to support sustainable growth and UK-based manufacturing.
