Help at the Hub takes place on Friday, 5 December, at Dovecotes TMO, 86 Ryefield, WV8 1UD, between 11am and 2pm. A wide range of city organisations will be on hand to offer advice and information.

The event has been organised by officers at the council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.

Residents with concerns can speak with advisors from Adult Education, Act on Energy, Alzheimer’s Society, Aquarius, Barclays, Camp Hill Village Trust - Shared Lives, Cost of Living, Healthwatch, Neighbourhood Safety Co-ordinator, and Public Protection.

Representatives from Revenue & Benefits, SEND Offer, Talking Therapies, Waste Services, Wolverhampton City Credit Union, City of Wolverhampton College, Wolves Foundation and Wolverhampton Homes will also be available.

People are welcome to drop in and speak to any number of the organisations for free help and assistance.

Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for resident services, said: “Pendeford is the next stop for our popular Help at the Hub event, which offers free support and guidance to any local residents who may have concerns and questions.

“Residents can just pop along during the day and find advice on matters ranging from health and education support to money and household advice.

“This time of year can be a particularly challenging one for many people and we want to make sure we reach as many people as possible in our local communities.

“Please don’t struggle alone, join us on December 5 for a chat about your concerns.”

Residents do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
