Visitors to the attraction can now buy a range of kites, with designs including dragons, aeroplanes and butterflies.
Previously limited to a small range of items, the museum shop has expanded its offer to include gifts and souvenirs after the Friends of Bantock House invested in new retail shelving.
A spokesperson for City of Wolverhampton Council said: “Kite flying is an activity enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. It also encourages people to get outdoors and enjoy open spaces together and where better to do that than at our very own Bantock Park.
“It’s a fantastic activity and who knows, the launch of the shop could be the first step in Bantock House becoming a regional centre for kites and kite flying.”
The kite shop launch comes as Bantock House reopens fully for the summer season, with a busy programme of activities including Easter events, the café, gardens and other family‑friendly attractions including:
Bantock House Museum is free to visit Wednesday to Sunday (12-4.30pm) and open Bank Holiday Mondays throughout the Spring and Summer, Bantock tearoom is open from 9am until 4.30pm daily.
