
This significant investment will enable the organisation to deliver a transformative martial arts and personal development programme aimed at young people aged 8–18 who face financial hardship, social challenges, and limited access to positive recreational opportunities.
Thanks to National Lottery players, the project will provide:
• Free and low-cost martial arts classes
• Weekly guest-instructor workshops featuring national-level coaches
• Confidence-building and resilience training
• Holiday programmes, community events, and family engagement sessions
• Pathways into leadership, volunteering, and youth mentorship Transforming Lives Through Movement, Discipline, and Community
The initiative will use martial arts disciplines such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, Wrestling, as tools to support physical health, mental wellbeing, discipline, teamwork, and positive identity.
Over the next three years, the programme aims to:
• Support over 180 young people from low-income households
• Reduce anti-social behaviour and isolation
• Create safe, inclusive, and inspiring community spaces
• Partner with schools, youth groups, and local organisations across Wolverhampton

About the Programme
The project will launch publicly at a special Open Day on 17 January 2026, featuring guest martial arts instructors, youth workshops, demonstrations, and free taster sessions for families across Wolverhampton.
