Joe "LumberJackJoe" Taylor, a Black Country-based creative, has achieved a significant professional milestone after being selected for publication by the prestigious @docu.magazine.

Known for its curation of documentary photography and visual storytelling, the inclusion of Joe Taylor’s work in the magazine’s physical edition marks a successful transition from digital media to high-quality print. For Joe, the achievement is a return to their roots of physical craftsmanship and "making."

"The best feeling in the world, for me, is seeing my work in print," says Joe. "As someone who has always loved making things in real life with my bare hands, it was a true honour to be selected by Docu Magazine and to see my digital work take on a physical form."

Following this feature, Lumber Studio is looking to engage with the local business community. With a passion for the "maker" culture of the region, they are seeking to collaborate with more local firms to document their unique processes and industrial heritage through professional photography.

The feature highlights the growing strength of the creative industries within the Black Country, demonstrating that local talent is being recognised on international platforms.
