Public consultation is now open on designs for a new-look Bilston High Street Link to help inform a planning application for the works.
The link sits between Pinfold Street and the High Street, connecting WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams Leisure Centre and the wider Urban Village development to Bilston town centre.
Previous consultation with the local community and groups, especially young people, has shaped the designs that have been produced for the re-imagined open space.
The scheme forms part of the transformative Bilston Health & Regeneration Programme (HaRP), supported by funding secured from UK Government.

A community event, where you can view the designs, is also being held on Bert Turner Boulevard (WV14 0EH), near the Bilston High Street Link, on Thursday, October 16, between 8am and 2pm.
Councillor Chris Burden, City of Wolverhampton Council Cabinet Member for City Development, Jobs and Skills, said: “The Bilston High Street Link improvements are part of our wider works to deliver the best for the town.
“We not only want to enhance this public space to create a better environment – but also make it a thriving space for activities, particularly for the young people of Bilston.
“I would like to thank everyone who has provided feedback to help us produce the plans for the area. Now we need your final thoughts on the designs before we make the planning application. I therefore urge residents to use the survey and have their say.
“It is important for our traditional local centres to flourish, and this scheme builds substantially on the investment already made in Bilston in recent years.”
Bilston High Street Link is temporarily occupied by market traders during market hours, while Bilston outdoor market undergoes major redevelopment.
Once the traders have returned to the new-look outdoor market next year, the High Street Link scheme, subject to planning approval, will progress.
The online survey deadline is 11.59pm on Friday, October 24, 2025.
