Heard rumours about the Lavender Lady at the Grand Theatre? Caught sightings of Martha the ghost at The Old Still?

Wolverhampton’s past is dying to be heard as a city centre Ghost Tour arrives this October, and tickets are on sale now.

This guided tour will take you on a walk around the city centre’s haunted sites, giving a short historical synopsis of the place as well as detailed ghost stories, alleged hauntings and mysterious appearances.

Councillor Chris Burden, Cabinet Member for City Development said: “Wolverhampton is full of historical sites and beautiful buildings, but did you know we have some famous ghost stories and alleged hauntings around the city centre?

“This is the perfect way to get to know more about Wolverhampton as we welcome in the colder months, so get your tickets now and who knows, maybe you’ll have the opportunity to add to the list of ghost stories yourself.

“We promise the tour won’t have any tricks…just some chilling tales!”

The tour takes place promptly at 6pm every Thursday this October (2, 9, 16, 23 and 30) and will last for approximately 2 hours, including a 25-minute break at The Giffard Arms where attendees will be kept entertained with more ghost stories.

Tickets will be priced at £8.10 for adults and £4.30 for children with concessions and family tickets available (including booking fees).

The event is for those aged 6+ only, under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or older.
