Many dedicated fostering families came together for a joyful afternoon at the ‘Bounce in the Park event last week.

Organised by the City of Wolverhampton Council’s ‘Fostering for Wolverhampton’ team, the outdoor celebration took place at Bantock Park on Friday 1 August, offering families the chance to enjoy exclusive access to a vibrant inflatable fun fair.

More than 100 people attended the event, which featured a wide range of inflatables provided by Jollies Inflatable Fun Fair – open exclusively to foster families before welcoming the public the following day.

‘Bounce in the Park’ is one of many free social events hosted throughout the year by Fostering for Wolverhampton. These gatherings offer foster parents, their families and children in care a chance to connect, unwind and enjoy quality time together during the school holidays.

Councillor Jacqui Coogan, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Education, said: “This is just one of the many events we hold for our fostering community throughout the year. It’s a chance to bring everyone together – foster parents, children and staff – for a fun-filled afternoon in the park.

"It’s also an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our foster parents, who do such an incredible job looking after children in care. I'd encourage anyone who is interested in becoming a foster parent to find out more by getting in touch.”
