Folk Music Legend to kick off Wolverhampton club’s New Season.

Wolverhampton’s Spring Season of Folk at the NAC opens its doors later this month to welcome one of the best British songwriters, Chris Wood. This much-loved singer/songwriter will open the club’s 2020 programme, playing on Saturday 29th of February.

 

Chris Wood is an highly accomplished artist who uses music to tell stories that go straight to the heart. With gentle intelligence he weaves the tradition with his own contemporary parables, his writing has been said to share the same timeless quality as Richard Thompson at his best. His songs reveal his passion and love for tradition with a timeless quality.

 

The British songwriter has collaborated with talented artists such as melodeon player Andy Cutting, Billy Bragg, Martin Carthy, Oyster band, the French fiddler Jean-Francois Vrod and many others, along with some well earned praise from the greats;
