Help at the Hub takes place on Friday, 6 February, at Stratton Street Community Centre, Nine Elms Lane, WV10 9AF, between 11am and 2pm. A wide range of city organisations will be on hand to offer advice and information.

The event has been organised by officers at the council’s Public Protection Scams Team who will be handing out free scams awareness and prevention packs.

Residents with concerns can speak with advisors from the council’s Environmental Crime team, Public Protection, SEND Offer, Terrific for Twos, Waste Services, Wolves Foundation, Wolverhampton Homes and WV Active.

People are welcome to drop in and speak to any number of the organisations for free help and assistance.

Councillor Bhupinder Gakhal, City of Wolverhampton Council’s cabinet member for resident services, said: “Incredibly, we’re now into our fifth year of Help at the Hub events and we’re really pleased that we’re able to continue to offer this help to our residents.

“Anyone with worries or questions can pop along for free support and guidance about a range of issues, including waste collections, health and fitness, early education and support for young people with special educational needs or disabilities.

“This time of year can be particularly challenging and we want to make sure we reach as many people as possible in our local communities. Please don’t struggle alone, join us on February 6 for a chat about your concerns.”

Residents do not have to book an appointment but are asked to please be prepared to wait if the event is busy.
