Union Fasteners Ltd celebrated a fantastic evening at the Made in the Midlands Awards 2026 last week, taking home two awards and marking a major milestone for the business.
On the night, Union Fasteners was recognised for both the Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m) Award and the Export Award, reflecting a sustained period of growth, strategic investment, and continued focus on operational excellence.
Winning in two categories on the same evening was a significant achievement, made even more notable as Union Fasteners became the first company in the 16-year history of the awards to win multiple awards in a single evening.
Over the last two decades, Union Fasteners has invested over £750,000 in advanced CNC machinery, strengthening its in-house manufacturing capability and enabling the production of increasingly complex, high-precision components. Today, approximately 90% of all products are manufactured in-house on our facility in Wednesbury.
In 2025 alone, Union Fasteners exported £2.6 million worth of products, with 82% of sales going to EU markets as of January 2026. The business has continued to expand its global footprint, with key export destinations including Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands, while maintaining full compliance across all shipments despite evolving international trade requirements.
Managing Director Adrian Garrett said: “Amazing… only made possible due to everyone’s involvement within the business. We are the dream team, I’m one very proud MD.”
As a result of this double win, Union Fasteners has automatically been named finalists for both winning categories at the Made in the UK Awards later this year and are proud to represent Black Country manufacturing on a national stage.
