Wolverhampton’s Covid-19 vaccine bus is returning to Phoenix Park tomorrow, eight weeks after it was there last.
The bus will be in Phoenix Park car park, off Dudley Road in Blakenhall on Thursday 5 August between 1pm and 6pm and then from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 August between 11am and 6pm daily, with both Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.
Anyone over the age of 18 can get the first or second dose of their life-saving Covid-19 vaccine at the bus without needing to book an appointment, but there must be a gap of eight weeks between doses.
It is eight weeks since the bus was last in Phoenix Park, in early June, so anyone who had their first dose then is due their second one now.
Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council’s Cabinet Member for Public Health and Wellbeing, said: “It is eight weeks since the vaccine bus was at Phoenix Park last, so anyone who had their first jab then is ready for their second one now in order to get the best protection from the virus. Those people, plus anyone else who is due their second dose, can get them at the bus in Phoenix Park this week, or at any of the other walk-in clinics around the city.
“The vaccine bus is also offering first doses too, so anyone over the age of 18 who has not yet had their first dose, can come along as well.”
