On Saturday 14th June, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA), the local Sikh community and residents passionate about giving back are gathering in Phoenix Park, Dudley Road for the "love my community work" initiative.

The event starts at 10am and will involve a big clean-up of Phoenix Park and Dudley Road. A regional representative of AMYA stated that "Cleanliness is part of our faith. We love the fact that other community members have shown their passion for service and are ready to spend some time doing some good."

He continued, "We would love those who are local to come and join in to make this a community wide effort."

AMYA organises several community service projects throughout the year, including tree planting, fundraising, blood donations, and street cleaning, as part of their nationwide Mercy4Mankind campaign. Over the past two years, AMYA has raised more than £750,000 for British charities, donated 34 tonnes of food to food banks, provided 4.6 million meals, and dedicated over 57,000 volunteer hours to community service.

We warmly invite members of the public to join us in this initiative. For further details, please contact amya.westmidlands@khuddam.co.uk. Together, we can make a positive contribution to our community.
