Founded in 2020, Coaches Club CIC is dedicated to developing the next generation of coaches and community leaders through sport and physical activity.
The club is and based in the West Midlands and provides affordable, high-quality training, mentoring and support to volunteers and young people who want to make a positive impact in their communities.
Launched in November 2025, the college’s Power Partner Programme strengthens links with education and industry partners, ensuring that the college’s curriculum remains dynamic, contemporary and aligned with the evolving needs of local and regional businesses and organisations.
As part of their partnership, Coaches Club CIC will sit on the College’s Employer Representative Boards and work with the Sports division, to shape future curriculum design and work with students looking to enter the sports career, ensuring students leave with the skills required to succeed in industry.
In return, Coaches Club CIC will access a host of benefits, including wider promotional activities, discounts across the college estate and exclusive invitations to college events.
Jacquie Carman, Principal of Halesowen College, commented: "The Partner programme has been designed to enable us as college to work closely with employers who want to support the next generation and equip them with the skills they need to be successful in their chosen field. Organisations such as Coaches Club share this ethos and we welcome them to the programme."
Rus Smith from Coaches Club CIC, said "Helping the young people of today become the workforce of tomorrow in sport, coaching and beyond is a key driver in building a more active nation. Our partnership with Halesowen College enables us to develop the skills, confidence and attributes that young people need, while creating real opportunities across Dudley, Sandwell and the surrounding areas — providing a true passport to placement and paid work in the sector.”
The Power Partner Programme is endorsed by the Black Country Chamber of Commerce and is open to businesses and organisations excited about shaping the future of education and employment opportunities for local people.
