We've got a packed end to March coming up. This week sees us bring back Boiling Point for a second run. Starring Stephen Graham as a chef in a high pressure kitchen environment and shot in a single take, it is a stunningly accomplished film and well worth seeing on the big screen. It's joined this week by French film Paris 13th District, whose writers include Portrait of a Lady on Fire's Celine Sciamma.
In case you missed it - it was the BAFTAs on Sunday. Our audiences really enjoyed Kenneth Branagh's Belfast when we showed it earlier in the year, so to mark its Outstanding British Film award, we've brought it back for a week starting the 25th. We've brought back After Love too, which saw Joanna Scanlon scoop the Leading Actress award. Also showing from the 25th is a return run of The Duke, starring Jim Broadbent, and we've got a short run of The Real Charlie Chaplin starting on the 26th.
We've had such a good response to some of our special screenings recently that we've brought some of those back as well.
The screening of The Colour Room that we had for International Women's Day earlier in the month sold out, so we're delighted to bring it back for a couple more. Following the story of Clarice Cliff, the world renowned ceramic artist, the film explores how she made her way in a male dominated industry with her beautiful designs that are still highly prized today. We'll be screening the film on Sunday 20th and Thursday 24th March.
Our screenings of The Beatles - Get Back: The Rooftop Concert proved to be a big hit, so we've added some more chances to see it to the programme. If you enjoyed the Beatles documentary Get Back, you'll love this special cinematic release of footage from the series and the chance to see the full rooftop concert, which turned out to be the last time the band performed together.
Don't forget that we've also got a Mother's Day special in the shape of Steven Spielberg's West Side Story. We're also really looking forward to our comedy night Superspread The Laffs with Craig Deeley, Jo Enright and Barbara Nice on the 2nd April.
You really are spoilt for choice with our programme this month!
