The free Wolves at Work programme is co-ordinated by City of
Wolverhampton Council and supported by local employers and partner
organisations to help people into sustainable employment.

Based in Unit 5 at the i10 building the new Wolves at Work site neighbours
the Cost of Living Hub at the Queen’s Building in Victoria Square and Ignite,
the council’s business and enterprise hub.

This will help the council and its partners to deliver an integrated employment,
skills and business growth offer for residents and businesses.

Anyone can call in at the new i10 hub from Monday to Friday, between 9am
and 5pm, to speak to work coaches and recruitment staff who will be on hand
to help.

Residents are offered their own dedicated work coach who provide support
with CVs, help to complete job applications and interview practice, advice
on training courses and in-work benefits and access to hundreds of local
jobs through links with employers.

The Wolves at Work employment programme has been delivered by the
council since 2017 and through supporting residents into employment it has
brought tens of millions of pounds of benefit to the local economy in that time.
Wolves at Work also has an employment hub at Bilston Town Hall and weekly
drop-in sessions are held at locations throughout the city for people of any
age, with one-to-one support for job hunters or those looking to progress in
their careers.

Another 700 people have been helped into jobs over the last year through the
initiative.

The council estimates it could see more than 1,200 people of all ages pass
through the doors of the new Wolves at Work i10 site and its existing
employment hub at Bilston Town Hall over the next year.

City of Wolverhampton Council Leader, Councillor Stephen Simkins, said:
“The choice of i10 as the venue for the hub demonstrates the council’s
commitment to supporting residents and the local economy, with this building

chosen due to its prominent central location, its excellent transport links, and
close proximity to the Cost of Living Hub at the Queen’s Building and Ignite.
“As well as benefiting from the superb facilities and welcoming environment of
our offices at i10 and in Bilston, Wolves at Work will continue to deliver in the
local community, in venues such as council family hubs and community
organisations like the Ukrainian Centre.

“Together, we are determined to support people into employment, improving
skills, gaining qualifications, and ensuring that no-one in our city is left
behind.”

As well as visiting the i10 or the Bilston Town Hall hubs residents seeking
support can also visit any of the weekly drop-in sessions, a list of which can

They also offer ongoing support to ensure that candidates stay in
employment – from assisting with initial travel costs to providing advice on
childcare and finances.
