
Local legend John Homer is to appear on the Ian Henery Show on Black Country Xtra, Black Country Radio in advance of "Why the Black Country"? on 15th December at Penn Bowling Club, Wolverhampton.
"Why the Black Country" is a lively presentation that weaves together history, music and humour to celebrate one of Britain`s most distinctive regions. Through stories of industrial heritage, local character and the pride that binds its people, John Homer reveals what makes the Black Country unique - and why it continues to inspire such affection today.
Expect a mix of insight, laughter and a true flavour of Black Country life.
John Homer is a Black Country bloke! For many years he has been involved with West Bromwich Albion, the Albion Foundation and the Black Country Living Museum.
He is also a founder member of the "Me, Myself and I" group which is a dementia support group for carers.
He is a speaker on everything and anything to do with the Black Country and local football.
His talks are a pot pourri of stories, anecdotes, jokes, poetry and songs about the Black country and life in general.
