With more than 30 years of experience in the finance sector, Rachel has built an extensive career with leading banks including NatWest and Barclays where she supported local businesses with their financing needs.
In her new role as head of credit, Rachel will play a key role in sanctioning deals and supporting the business development and wider team, enabling BCRS Business Loans to meet the needs of its customers and support the local economy.
Rachel said: “I am excited to be joining BCRS Business Loans, having seen in my previous roles how they support businesses to grow and strengthen local communities. Their commitment to helping small businesses access finance where others have been unable to really stood out to me."
BCRS Business Loans chief executive Stephen Deakin added: “Rachel's appointment comes at an important time for BCRS Business Loans as we continue to see strong demand from businesses across the West Midlands and Wales that are struggling to access finance through mainstream channels.
“Her experience, combined with a genuine understanding of what smaller businesses need to grow, make her a fantastic addition to the team. I'm confident Rachel will play a vital role in helping us make lending decisions that support local businesses and the wider regional economy."
BCRS Business Loans provides funding to businesses that are struggling to access finance from traditional lenders. Businesses can secure loans from between £10,000 and £250,000 from BCRS Business Loans to support growth and recovery plans.
