The Wolverhampton literature festival, now in its seventh year, brings together the very best of writers, speakers, performers, poets, vloggers and publishers from across the UK, highlighting the incredible talent we have in and around our region. This year’s festival will feature a diverse programme of events, including book signings, author readings, panel discussions and workshops.

The event will run over a 3-day period from Friday 3rd - Sunday 5th February, but without contributions from the artists and the generous support of local businesses and the local community this event would not happen.

Local businessman Russell Eynon was born and bred in Willenhall and throughout his working life has always been passionate about supporting local businesses and the local community. In 2020, whilst working as General Manager at Breakwells Paints Ltd, an opportunity arose, and Russell bought the business in a management buyout. Founded in 2001 and based locally in Leamore, Breakwells Paints are a leading supplier of customised paints, coatings and aerosols and market leaders in custom colour matching.

As a new small business owner, Russell forged a great working relationship with Matthew Parsons. Matt had an extensive background in both paint and PPE and shared the same business values as Russell. He came onboard as joint owner to help with the future growth of the business. It was through Breakwells and their passion to work with local businesses that Russell and Matt were then introduced to Willenhall based Arcs N Sparks Ltd, which they further went on to buy in 2021.

Arcs N Sparks Ltd are a leading supplier of corporate workwear and PPE and offer an in-house print and embroidery service to their customers. Based centrally in Willenhall town centre they have an in-store shop, with a changing room facility, which is home to 100’s of premium products from all the leading brands. 2023 is an exciting year for Arcs N Sparks as they introduce three great new workwear ranges into their already successful product portfolio; DeWalt workwear, bespoke women’s workwear, and a sustainable workwear range! Like Breakwells Paints, Arcs N Sparks is committed to providing its customers with a wide range of high-quality products, at competitive prices, and to supporting the local community through partnerships and initiatives.

“At Arcs N Sparks and Breakwells Paints we believe in the importance of supporting the local businesses and the local community” said Matthew Parsons, Owner, “The Wolverhampton Literature Festival is a fantastic event that brings people together to celebrate local talent and creativity and we are proud to be a part of it.”

Russell & Matt are both excited to have the opportunity to support the Wolverhampton Literature festival and, through Arcs N Sparks Ltd, they are supplying the event with hi-vis vests and branded t-shirts. They are looking forward to what is set to be another great event!
