A wonderful Ladies Evening with Wolverhampton Racecourse
I’m sure you all saw the blog, tweets and messages about my excitement leading up to the Ladies Evening at Wolverhampton Racecourse, Dunstall Park.
Well it certainly lived up to and went way beyond my expectations ... trying to keep one eye on the horses whilst the other stared in admiration at the most beautiful dresses and hats in the whole of Wolverhampton was not an easy task.
Pimm’s on ice with fresh mint leaves and fruit flowed as delicious meals were served in Horizons restaurant overlooking the racecourse in all its glory.
The racing booklets were studied and the bets were placed ...... And they’re off! Followed by whoops and cheers by the winners and a sigh or two from those whose bet choice was not so lucky. The excitement was immense, I really didn’t know what or who to bet on but I managed (just) and now I can’t wait for next year to come around!
And the night didn’t stop there .... live entertainment from fabulous swing singer Max Hutton followed by a guest DJ set from Heart FM's Toby Anstis got the ladies on their feet and the dancing shoes hit the floor!
