The free family-friendly event takes places on Saturday 18 July, from 11am to 4pm, on Victoria Street, bringing together professional BMX and scooter riders and interactive activities.
Organised by City of Wolverhampton Council in partnership with Extreme Wheels Roadshows, the event promises an action-packed programme of live stunt demonstrations featuring some of the UK's leading BMX and scooter athletes.
Spectators can watch the professional riders take on a 6ft half-pipe ramp, performing breathtaking tricks and jumps throughout the day. The riders have competed and performed across the UK and internationally and will also be available for selfies, autographs and meet and greet opportunities.
Three demonstration shows are scheduled throughout the day at 11.45am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Alongside the professional performances, visitors aged nine and over will have the chance to try their hand at the popular KMX Karting experience.
KMX karts are three-wheeled, high-performance sports trikes that combine elements of BMX riding and go-karting. Available in two sizes and fully adjustable, they have proved extremely popular with both young people and adults.
Participation activities will operate throughout the day, pausing during the professional demonstrations. There is no need to book in advance, with sessions operating on a queue-and-wait basis.
Helmets must be worn and will be provided by Extreme Wheels for anyone who does not bring their own. Participants are reminded that open-toed footwear and Crocs are not permitted.
Children can also make their own delicious smoothies with the FREE smoothie bike. You can also bring your own bike on the day for a FREE Bike check with Dr Bike. Qualified mechanics will check your bike, carry out minor repairs & provide advice on serious faults. No need to book, but you may need to wait.
Cllr Stephen Simkins, Leader of the council, said: "The Extreme Wheels Roadshow is always a fantastic day out for families and young people, offering the chance to see incredible professional athletes in action while also giving people the opportunity to have a go on the KMX karts.
“We are delighted to bring this popular event back to Wolverhampton and look forward to welcoming residents and visitors for a day packed with excitement and entertainment."
