A Wonder Woman is a powerful collection of poems of experience and wisdom, innocence of the world and wonder at its various beauties and struggles. It is full of love and surprises and will delight Kuli’s many admirers and followers.

“Kuli Kohli’s is a compelling voice. Hers are tough but tender poems, a survivor’s poems that move us and confront our humanity. Kuli is an inspirational sister,” according to a leading Asian woman poet, Debjani Chatterjee, MBE, FRSL.

“As a 'wobbly' poet of Asian heritage, Kuli Kohli offers a unique voice much needed within the cultural landscape of British poetry. A Wonder Woman celebrates the determination of a disabled woman to survive and thrive. There is a warmth - a joy and humour amidst poetry that speaks of resilience, rising above the discrimination faced by a working class Punjabi family arriving in Britain in 1973,” added Colin Hambrook, Disability Arts Online Editor, poet and artist.

Indian born, Kuli Kohli runs a Punjabi Women’s Writing Group. She writes a regular blog for Disability Arts Online. She’s performed her work around the West Midlands, London, Liverpool, Oswestry and via Skype to India.

She was a guest lecturer at Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. In December 2019, she performed at the British Museum for the Purple Light Up event celebrating International Disabled Persons Day. In 2020, Kuli's life story was featured on BBC News online leading to her being featured on BBC one's Sunday Morning Live show in September 2020.
