The West Midlands is set to welcome Her Royal Highness Queen Maria Amor Leonora Torres Mastura—Queen of the Royal House of Luzon Tagalog and Bae Mompong of the Sultanate of Maguindanao—for an official visit focused on business, enterprise, and charitable initiatives across the region.
Queen Mariam is a globally recognised humanitarian leader and founder of the Greatest Humanitarian Awards, which honour outstanding individuals and institutions that have demonstrated exceptional service to humanity. As Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Maguindanao, she continues to lead efforts in cultural diplomacy, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across Asia, Europe, and beyond.
During her visit to the West Midlands, Her Royal Highness will engage in a number of high-level meetings of a business and enterprise nature, exploring opportunities for collaboration with local stakeholders in areas of economic empowerment, cultural innovation, and community development. The itinerary also includes visits to historical landmarks, charitable organisations, and civic spaces, with a focus on strengthening cultural ties and honouring the contributions of local leaders to humanitarian causes. The visit is being overseen by Datu Jordan Nirankari-Bowen, Royal Legal Advisor and Spokesperson for the Sultanate of Maguindanao, who serves as Head of International Affairs to Her Royal Highness.
Support for the visit has been extended by Councillor Asha Mattu (Wolverhampton) and Mrs Balbir Seimar BEM, both of whom have been appointed to interim advisory positions on the UK-wide planning committee for Royal and Diplomatic Affairs.
The Queen’s arrival marks a continuation of her commitment to grassroots engagement, and her visit to the Midlands is expected to highlight the region’s role in fostering inclusive growth and global cooperation.
Further details on the schedule and engagements will be released in the coming days.
