The Kates Hill Press will be taking part in the Wolverhampton Literature Festival for the third year running.
We will have a stall in the Community Hub in the Mander Centre for the duration of the event which runs from 3rd to 5th February 2023.
The Community Hub will host spoken word and drama performances across the three days including Kates Hill Press authors Rob Simmons, Joanne Webster, Shaun Patrick Hand, Billy Spakemon and Ian Henery.   Ian will also compere proceedings.
The event will also celebrate the work of Bilston author Eileen Ward whose book Pocketful of Memories Bilston was launched last August at Walsall Festival of Words. Eileen was unable take part in that through illness and sadly she passed away on 6th November.
Eileen knew of plans to feature her work at the festival and it will be a fitting tribute to a woman who was actively involved in the vibrant local spoken word scene for many years.
Sedgley poet Laura Jane Round will read excerpts from the book and perform several of her poems.
Kates Hill Press owner Greg Stokes said, "all are welcome to go to the festival at the art gallery but having these events in the Mander Centre really brings the festival to the people of Wolverhampton which is great for all the local, poets authors and publishers involved."
