On Monday 31st July 2023 at 6.30pm CARE - Community Against Racism Enterprise are celebrating the 1st Anniversary of the SuCoTeTo Wreath of Remembrance, Hope and Healing at the Heritage Centre, Clifford Street, Wolverhampton, WV6 0AA.

The SuCoTeTo Wreath held its inauguration on 24th July 2022 by the former Cllr and Mayor Of Wolverhampton Sandra Samuels OBE and Sir Professor Geoff Palmer and Professor Geoff Thompson Deputy Chair of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

This 1st Year Anniversary will also be a having a Recognition award of Services to the community. We are also excited to have Sir Professor Geoff Palmer return by popular demand.

Just like the Remembrance Poppy the SuCoTeTo Wreath was created to show solidarity and allyship for those who were enslaved to produce the things we love and enjoy. While remembering the Windrush Generation, the activist, abolitionist, and those fatally impacted by racial discrimination based on skin colour in a unique, symbolic and peaceful way.

This yearly event of hope, restoration and healing is open to all regardless of skin colour as we have all been impacted by racism. As well as those on the flyer also attending - Mr Wade Lyn High Sheriff of The West Midlands. We hope to see you there. As we are all One Blood One Race One People.   For further info: www.CARE1BRP.com
