About Moseley Old Hall
Moseley Old Hall is best known for once being a safe haven for a young King Charles II. After the execution of his father, Charles I and an unsuccessful attempt to assume the throne, the young Charles was in danger. He used Moseley Old Hall as a secret hiding place following his defeat at Worcester, the last battle of the Civil War. He finally escaped to France, travelling from safe house to safe house in disguise.

Known as one of Wolverhampton's most interesting historic buildings and stately homes, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Moseley Old Hall. Visitor's can see the bed where the young King Charles II slept and learn about the history of the house with an exhibition recounting his escape.
