The Clubhouse & Function Rooms

The Old Sergeants' Mess itself is a beautiful colonial building from the late 19th century, lovingly restored after years of neglect with new oak flooring and panelling, and many other improvements. There is an open verandah for balmy summer evenings, and a cosy fireplace to retreat to on colder ones.

The clubhouse is open 51 weekends per year even if there is no shooting that week, so members and guests can come just to meet friends and enjoy the camaraderie.

The clubhouse restaurant serves homemade meals such as chilli, game meats, roast lamb with all the trimmings, sandwiches, and indulgent desserts. Vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free needs can be catered for, and the licensed bar means you can have a beer or glass of wine too. The club runs regular barbecues in summer, and curry nights feature quite a lot!

The clubhouse is also available to hire for functions such as training courses and business meetings. Please contact the team on 01483 799 998 to discuss your event needs.
