
RSPB Wirral Local Group - “The Somerset Levels” - An illustrated presentation by Mike Roberts, - Thursday 5thMarch 2026, from 7.30 pm (doors open 7.15pm).
Mike’s talk will look at the wide variety of habitats in the area now known as the Avalon Marshes near Glastonbury. This includes reserves such as Ham Wall, Shapwick Heath, Westhay and Greylake. Featuring Mike’s stunning photography, his talk will look at some of the conservation successes and the local species such as Bitterns, Little Bitterns, Great White Egrets, Common Cranes and Otters.
This illustrated presentation will take place at St Luke’s, 19 Market Street, Hoylake, Wirral, CH47 2BF - please note new venue.
Local group members free. Visitors are very welcome, and the cost is £5.00.
