A Unique Journey In Wheelchairs Fundraising For Whizz Kidzz

Stuart Williams and Matthew Jones from Wallasey are taking an epic journey from John O Groats to Lands End in wheelchairs, covering over an astonishing 820 miles! They are aiming to raise over £20,000 pounds for this national charity.

The Wheelchairs they will be using will be slightly modified standardised wheelchairs.

Stuart and Matty are both able bodied people, but have or had family members who use wheelchairs.
Matty's mother sadly lost part of her leg below her knee because of Diabetes and now uses a wheelchair frequently and Stuart had a cousin who was disabled from birth and had specialised wheelchairs made each year.

The hope of this challenge is to raise the profile of Whizz Kidz; and the great work they do and to help kids and young people in wheelchairs lead independent lives.

Stuart said

"We still have a lot of things left to plan and support is needed in any shape or form.
We need our justgiving page promoting, We need a support crew, a support vehicle, food donations and water proof clothing.

If people have some time in September and would like to help us, please get in touch.

Even a small donation is greatly appreciated, as a standard wheelchair can cost hundreds to thousands of pounds.''
