The Light is more than just a cinema: it is a social hub for the New Brighton community.  Our comfortable licensed café bar is a great place to meet friends before or after the movie or simply to enjoy a coffee, sandwich, glass of wine or a beer.

 Our eight screens feature the latest all-digital technology, delivering incredible 2D and 3D visuals and amazing audio.  Every one of our seats is extra wide - as standard - so you will always have the best seat in the house!

 We specialise in a wide range of content, including the best blockbusters, independent and international films from around the world, and broadcasts of opera, dance, theatre, live arts and sports programmes.

Private screenings & corporate bookings

 The Light Cinema offers a flexible range of private screenings and corporate bookings.

 Light Kids

Every Saturday and Sunday at 10am, we show films aimed exclusively at children. All tickets for kids and adults alike are just £1.50 each.

 Whether it’s a wet weekend, a birthday treat, or you’re just after some quality family time without breaking the bank, come down and enjoy the fun at The Light Cinema in New Brighton.

 Light Parents & Tots

The Light Cinema also screens specially-chosen films for parents and their babies. With a lower volume and brighter lights, you can come and enjoy a movie without worrying about your little ones disturbing those without children.

 No booking fee

You can book tickets securely over the internet, without paying an extortionate fee for doing so. What’s more, you can choose your seats for most showings for the perfect movie experience.

 Wheelchair access and IR headsets

Each of our screens has dedicated wheelchair spaces, allowing full accessibility to all.

We are also happy to provide the latest in IR headsets for any movie for the hard of hearing.
