It's Easy to Buy Local: Day 12
17th May 2014

We love having lunch here at Jungs cafe and restaurant in Windsor, as there is wheat-free Rye bread and lots of fabulous sandwich toppings and fillings to choose from.

Brilliant if you're wheat intolerant like me

I am wheat intolerant and so often I can't indulge in delicious cakes unless I am prepared to suffer the consequences....BUT...Jungs make wheat-free macaroons which are divine. I find it hard to resist walking past - the Jungs restaurant and bakery in Windsor is minutes from my house - without popping in for one to take home.

When's it open?

Open for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and also dinner. If you need a meal occasion that is as there is a wide takeaway offering too including a delicious range of confectionery, cakes & fresh bakery products.

They've got a very wide selection of classical dishes in the cafe, but we find the selection of original dishes make a nice change from the norm. All the food is freshly prepared and they do a kids menu too.

Worth going in to see the wall of Cuckoo Clocks!

We loved their fabulous cuckoo clocks - which all cuckoo together every hour - so much that we bought one for our kitchen!

Our cuckoo has been named Seb after Sebastian Vettel the German F1 driver. Thankfully he doesn't come out of his house at night-time or Sidney thebestof Windsor dog would probably bark all night.
