Day 21 of Windsor & Eton's Living Advent Calendar - Avanti Bistro

This evening's Windsor & Eton's Living Advent Calendar was the most star studded so far!

We had local celebrity Elle Stevenson, fresh from her trials and tribulations with Sir Alan Sugars, The Apprentice. Elle joined us for an evening at Avanti Bistro for the continuation of Windsor & Eton's Living Advent Calendar.

As avid Apprentice watchers amongst you will remember, there was a challenge where Elle with her team mates had to create a childrens book: they named it Snottydink.

Following the same theme, Elle and Sam Curry have written another book and named it Gobble Gruff. It is very much written in the same manner: rhyming and hidden within the story is a moral.

We had the absolute pleasure of having Elle read a portion of the story to us - there is something quite special about hearing an author read their own book, the words seem to jump of the page more so I find.

Along with Elle, Soner (Avanti's owner) had laid on a sumptious spread consisting of pizza, mulled wine and mince pie which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

A big thank you to Elle Stevenson for coming down and reading her new book Gooble Gruf to us all. Another thank you has to go to Soner & team at Avanti Bistro for hosting a great evening.

Finally, yet again, another thank you to Windsor, Eton & Ascot Town Partnership for organising a fantastic evening.
