Beauty & The Beast - It's a Beaut!

So Mum and I went to the panto at Theatre Royal Windsor this afternoon having not been since my kids were little. What a mistake - we've missed so much fun by NOT going even when the children had grown up.

We had a BALL!

I don't want to spoil the many surprises in store for you, but suffice to say that the script, music and cast were extremely well-balanced so that every age could enjoy the spectacle.

Basil Brush is my absolute favourite - he did not disappoint - and he had more wardrobe changes than anyone else!

And when some children from the audience came on stage their reaction to Postman Pat standing right next to them was magical!

I just wanted Rhydian to sing and sing. He gave me goosebumps, what a voice, and I am always a sucker for a love story. He made a great Prince.

And as for Windsor's favourite Dame and Kevin Cruise. Well they had us in stitches. The 12 days of Christmas was mayhem and hysterical.

The whole cast were very talented in fact.

It was so good that we talked about coming again and bringing my husband and dad.

All I would say is that Panto's may normally be more for kids but this one is a real joy and is definitely a must for any age this Christmas. You'll come out with a massive smile on your face which will last for hours. I'm still smiling 6 hours later.

Go see it - some performances still have availability.
