More than just a music school the Merton Music Foundation enhances and advances music education in the London Borough of Merton

Formed in 1991 as a charitable organisation Merton Music Foundation (MMF) is more than a music school. It protects, enhances and advances music education within the London Borough of Merton and surrounding areas.

We feel very passionate about the importance of music in a child's education. Our primary objectives are to provide music lessons, music tuition and youth music activities as well as improve music education opportunities for over 2,000 young people and adults by enhancing personal achievement and performance.

The Merton Music Foundation also actively supports the development of music education in schools and we provide a wide range of music making opportunities, including concert performances, projects, courses and workshops.

Our Charitable Objective is

"To advance music education within a framework of the arts for the benefit of the public of the London Borough of Merton and elsewhere."

The full range of services provided by the MMF music school include:

  • Vocal and instrumental tuition in schools and at Merton Music Centre
  • Choirs, bands, orchestras and ensembles for Merton Youth Music
