I went to see a great Wigan son over the weekend - Stuart Maconie, famous DJ, writer and Wiganite. He was at the Words on the Water literary festival in Keswick, Cumbria, where he was talking about his new book Adventures on the High Teas - a litarary journey to the heart of this country in search of 'Middle England'.
He was very funny and a great stand-up. There was a huge queue for him to sign his books afterwards - someone that Wigan should be proud of.
