Richard Atkinson has been an experienced plasterer for 15 years. Two years ago he launched his own company - RJA Plastering and hasn't looked back. In December they just completed over 6 months work on the prestigious Portland Spa Hotel. From July they were responsible for the vast majority of the plastering work on the recently accredited 4 Star Hotel. Work included - screeding, plastering rendering of the outside mullions to match the existing. Richard commented, "Believe me when I say that there were hundreds and hundreds of square metres to be finished! There was a tight time schedule but we progressed through the building at a good pace by starting at 7.30 am and often working until 10.00 pm. The design of the building set us a few challenges, mainly in the bar area and reception with its sweeps, curves and stepped ceilings but we achieved our high standard of work which was passed by the Contracts Manager, Mr Ray Dale.
