Dorset based graphic design company, Revolting, have embarked on a brand new collaboration with the Arts Institute at Bournemouth. In a bid to provide some industry insight for budding creatives, company director Ross Cleaver has been sharing his expertise, providing workshops and advice to students looking to follow a career in the sector.
Revolting have been working for many years in the creative industry and work both locally and for clients all over the world, including several high profile international organisations. Nevertheless, given the employment difficulties that the recession may bring for many of Dorset's students, Revolting felt it was time to give a little back.
Students on BA (Hons) Fashion Studies course are working on a magazine layout project that will now benefit first hand from Ross' vast experience, including his work for Australia's 'Cosmopolitan' and 'Harpers Bazaar' magazine at ACP Publishing. BA (Hons) Fashion Studies Technician Demonstrator, Jamie Yeates, said "Ross has provided the students with an invaluable opportunity to gain advice and feedback on their work from an industry perspective". It is hoped that students can now use this fantastic experience for a competitive edge in their quest for a successful career.
